| Dieter Ungerboeck, President Dieter learned to sail as a child in Europe, which has led to a 60 year passion for the sport. He came to the United States in 1967 for graduate school and a career in Information Technology. After 15 years with Ralston Purina Co., he started Ungerboeck Systems International (USI), now an industry-leading software company serving clients in about 50 countries from offices in USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2009, Dieter and his wife Catherine turned the day-to-day management of USI over to their four sons and focused their attention toward creating Ozark Yacht Club into a premier venue for power and sailing enthusiasts. In 2010, OYC expanded to include 1,600 ft. of prime shoreline so the club's capacity can be increased in a beautifully landscaped setting with a full palette of year-around services ranging from boat slips, state-of-the-art fuel dock, Lakeside Cafe, marine services, social events, sailing school and races and a charming guest chalet for nightly and extended use. | Debra Kuhn, Operations Manager Debra is a long time Lake resident and has been involved in the marine industry for 9 years. She became the Assistant Manager of OYC when Dieter purchased the property, prior to that she was employed by Glencove Marine for 7 years. In 2011, Debra moved into the position of Operations Manager and strives to provide members and visitors at OYC a pleasant experience. | Brett Davis, Service Technician Prior to moving to the Lake, Brett lived in Denver, Colorado and worked as a race car/auto mechanic which expanded into marine technology in 1987. Wanting to escape from the city life, Brett and his wife, Jane, moved to the Lake in 1989 and he continued his career in the marine industry. While working at a local marina, Brett completed his marine certification and became a Certified Technician in 1991. Over the years, he has gained knowledge and experience in different aspects of the industry which include experience in layout and set-up for boat shows, 8 years as Delivery Captain at Marine Max for 16-60ft. boats, instructing buyers on handling and operation aspects, Facility Maintenance and holds a Coast Guard Captain's license. In his spare time, Brett enjoys woodworking and camping. |  |
| Sara Clark, Marketing Manager Sara comes to Ozark Yacht Club with a vast array of knowledge in the marine industry. As a Lake of the Ozarks native, Sara received the majority of her boating and marina experience while growing up at her family's marina. She has also worked in the marketing and advertising business since graduating with a B.S. degree in Public Relations from the University of Central Missouri in 2003. | Tim Shields, General Manager Tim is a true Lake Ozark local, his parents and grandparents were Lake Ozark business owners in the early 1960's. Tim has been a boating professional for over 24 years involved with several different manufacturer's such as Sea Ray, Carver, Gibson, Bayliner, Regal and Crownline. He obtained his experience from many facets of the industry including Harbormaster, Sales, Marine Facility Mgmt. and Manufacturer's R&D Field Rep. Tim has over 10 years of vessel handling experience, teaching in fresh water, salt water and river navigation. | Holly Morris, Marketing and Services Coordinator Holly came to Ozark Yacht Club in the winter of 2011 and has been a lake resident for eight years. Prior to living at the lake, Holly grew up in Three Rivers, Michigan and has also lived in San Diego, California. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on the lake, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, riding four-wheelers, camping, shopping, and spending time with her two dogs, Buck and Lucy. | Cheryl Cotten, Chef Cheryl has been a resident of this area for over 16 years and has gained experience working in the food and beverage industry. She has a true hometown background, growing up in St. Anthony, a small town in Missouri. She enjoys the small cafe atmosphere and being able to converse with customers as they dine while preparing their food. Prior to OYC, Cheryl was a long-time employee of Resort at Port Arrowhead (formerly Holiday Inn at Lake of the Ozarks) where she learned skills associated with serving hundreds of guests in a short period of time. In her spare time, Cheryl is dedicated to her family and enjoys rock crawling, camping and shopping trips with her daughter.
